This is absolutely one of the BIGGEST problems facing supervisors, foremen, and managers across North America!

What am I supposed to do with my youngest employees?!!!

Leadership is harder than ever, especially if you're supervising Gen Z employees aged 14-28.
    It's harder because there's a GAP

A GAP between what you need new employees to bring -                                 and what Gen Z is actually bringing

Here are some of the problems  you're facing with Gen Z employees:

1. New employees often have an overinflated sense of their value - they don't bring a lot of          skills but have huge expectations regarding their promotions and wage increases

2. Employees often can't show up on time, if at all - you just can't depend on them to even be      at work.

3. Giving Gen Z employees deadlines can cause many of them to freeze or panic

4. Phone addiction is real - trying to keep them off their phones during work is like trying to       keep a politician from giving themselves a raise.

5. Simply correcting an employee can cause them to fall apart emotionally

6. Gen Z employees are fragile - they haven't been given the tools to handle learning skills           when it doesn't come easily!

7. Many younger employees are lacking people skills, they often make sure your customers        don't come back instead of bringing them back because of great customer service.

8. There is an education GAP - North American high school graduates are often up to 1 year         behind in reading and science and 2 years in math.

9. We are observing a significant rise in mental health issues after the covid years, especially       among teens and young adults   Since 2020 teen suicide rates have jumped 250%

10. "You hurt my feelings" is a common complaint heard by HR Departments

11. Customer service for your customers is a foreign concept to many of your employees

12. More and more it feels like you need to parent your younger employees

What these problems mean for you is increased frustration and stress!

It sounds like I've got a problem with teens and young adults!  Not at All!! In fact it's the exact opposite!!!

The younger generation has massive potential to succeed in their careers.  The problem is, the right people haven't invested in them yet.  People like you!

BUT!!  It seems like everyone has a solution "Here's what you just need to try":
     - Use Kidd gloves - just be gentle and understanding - don't make too many demands
     - Make sure you're "authentic" - whatever that's supposed to mean for you
     - Just lower your standards - expecting too much is racist, bigoted, or ageist
     - Flexibility is key: let your employees decide what they'll do, when they'll do it, and who they'll            do it with - just like in school.
     - Be inclusive so everyone feels good about what they're doing - except your best employees,              they should feel guilty about being so productive

After reading these "solutions" you likely want to pull out your hair!

At a time when unhappy customers will simply find another source for your products or services, it seems like your employees are actually pushing them out the door!

It's obvious that there's a GAP!  The real question is: "How do you fill that GAP"?

You've kept learning and growing as a leader. You've become a better leader, supervisor, or manager, but it just doesn't seem to be enough.
Because Your stress levels still continue to climb!

You need solutions that will actually work in the real world.  And, here's a secret - your Gen Z employees need them too - desperately!

Gen Z is a generation with as much potential as any generation that came before them!

That's why I wrote "Fill The GAP".
Who am I?  My name is Todd Reimer and here's a bit about me just so you know that I've been where you are and that I've helped thousands of people who were at the same spot - looking for help leading a younger generation.
    - I spent 11 years in a leadership role in non-profits - building teams that helped teens and        young adults.  I  understand the challenges and potential that each new generation                 holds.
    - I ran several of my own construction companies and a vehicle brokerage for over 10                  years.  I understand the challenges in leading people and multi-generational teams.
    - I've been a leadership and management coach and trainer for 14 years, helping                        employers, managers and supervisors from across the US and Western Canada achieve          the results they  need.

As a leadership coach and trainer, and as an employer, I see the problems you deal with every day because I deal with them too.

The pressure on your business/team/crew and on your time isn't going away any time soon, so you need a way to solve the problems that Gen Z often brings into your workplace!

27% of the entire workforce will be Gen Z in the next several years!!  You cannot hire around this generation - you need to engage them!

Good employees will lessen the load on leaders and help the organization succeed.  Employees with the GAP make it harder for everyone, including you.  This needs to change - you need solutions, not more problems.

Mike Rowe (from "Dirty Jobs" and "The Way I Heard It") is talking about the labor shortage we're all facing - in 2023 there were 11 million unfilled jobs for skilled employees in the US - but at the same time there were 7.5 million men who had decided to not re-enter the workforce after Covid lockdowns.

What this means is that you are facing a labor shortage that could potentially last several decades.  If you're in the trades, the news is even more serious: for every 7 people retiring from the trades, there is only 1 new person entering.

You need a resource to help you hire, engage, and retain good employees.  If you can get ahead of your competitors in figuring out how to do this with Gen Z employees you'll be able to set your business/crew/team apart

"Fill the GAP" gives you exactly what you need to help you help your Gen Z employees become a valuable part of your team.  Gen Z employees can reduce the pressure and stress on you when they gain the skills and tools they need for succeeding in their career.

The principles in "Fill the GAP" have worked for
1000's of leaders from the US and Canada.  These
leaders have helped their younger employees
become productive and valuable members of
       their team.
